Effective date: October 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information CommercialDUI.com (“we”, “us” or “our”) collects when you visit this website, how that information is used, the choices you have and the rights available to you. By using this site you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Information you give us. We do not require you to create an account. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and the contents of your message. We use this only to reply to you.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider, analytics tools and advertising partners automatically receive certain technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit. This data is collected through server logs, cookies, web beacons and similar technologies.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we do not sell personal information for money.

How we use information

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We and our partners use them to remember preferences, measure traffic, serve and measure advertising, and attribute affiliate purchases. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you do, some features may not work as intended and you may still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.

Advertising and Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display ads on this site. Google is a third party vendor that uses cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites on the internet. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites.

Other third party vendors and ad networks may also use cookies and web beacons to serve and measure ads on this site.

To learn how Google collects and uses data, visit How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can also review the Google advertising policy.

Opting out of personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of many third party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info (United States), youradchoices.ca (Canada) and youronlinechoices.eu (Europe).

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland

If you visit from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we use a consent management platform certified by Google and integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. When you first arrive, a message asks for your consent before cookies or local storage are used for personalized ads and related purposes. You can accept, reject or manage your choices by purpose and by vendor, and you can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the Privacy and cookie settings link in the footer of every page.

If you do not consent, Google may still serve non personalized or limited ads, which rely on contextual information such as the content of the page rather than your browsing history.

Legal bases. Under the GDPR and UK GDPR we process personal data on the basis of your consent (personalized advertising and non essential cookies), our legitimate interests (operating, securing and improving the site and replying to messages), and compliance with legal obligations.

Your rights. You may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, email hello@commercialdui.com.

International transfers. This site is operated from the United States. Our partners, including Google and Amazon, may process data in the United States and other countries using safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Amazon Associates and affiliate links

CommercialDUI.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

When you click a link to Amazon, Amazon may place a cookie on your browser to attribute any purchase to our account. Amazon may also collect information about your activity on its site. That information is governed by the Amazon Privacy Notice, not by this policy. We never see your Amazon account details or payment information. See our Affiliate Disclosure for more.

Analytics

We may use analytics services, such as Google Analytics, to understand how visitors find and use the site. These services use cookies to collect information like pages visited and time on site. You can install the Google Analytics opt out browser add on to prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics.

Your U.S. state privacy rights

Residents of certain U.S. states, including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Iowa, Delaware, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Nebraska, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, Indiana, Kentucky and Rhode Island, may have the following rights under their state privacy laws:

Categories of information. In the past 12 months we may have collected identifiers (such as IP address and cookie IDs), internet or network activity (such as pages viewed and interactions with ads), and approximate geolocation derived from IP address. These are disclosed to advertising partners such as Google and to Amazon for the business and commercial purposes described in this policy.

Sale and sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. However, allowing advertising partners to collect identifiers through cookies for personalized ads may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under some state laws. You can opt out by sending us an email, by adjusting your ad settings as described above, or by turning on the Global Privacy Control in your browser, which we treat as a valid opt out request. Google may also display a U.S. state regulations message that lets you opt out directly.

How to submit a request. Email hello@commercialdui.com with the subject line “Privacy Request” and tell us which right you wish to exercise. We will verify your request using information reasonably available to us and respond within the time required by law, generally 45 days. You may use an authorized agent, who must provide proof of your authorization. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with the subject line “Privacy Appeal”.

California Shine the Light. California residents may request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not make such disclosures.

Children’s privacy

This website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention and security

We keep email correspondence only as long as needed to respond and for reasonable record keeping. Server logs and analytics data are retained according to our providers’ standard retention periods. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted HTTPS connections, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Third party links

Our guides link to government agencies, retailers and other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
